The solution to the the Volca Sample's midi implentation. this little handy gadget allows you to connect and standard midi controller to the Volca sample allowing true control of the individual part/sample slots .
If you connnect the RK-002 cable with the /KVS firmware it changes incoming MIDI messages in a way so you can control the Volca Sample on a single MIDI channel and have the ability to play samples chromatically. This way it also enables you to use the Volca Sample on a lot more devices like the BeatStep Pro and other sequencers or Midi controller Keyboards.
Not only does the RK-002 remap the MIDI channels, per sample channel it is also able to translate velocity, pitch and modulation data.
These parameters are mappable and the settings can be stored in the RK-002's flash memory.
The RK-002 is not a minified Arduino setup, but built on the small, fast and infamous NXP 32Bit LPC812 CPU. (Nick and Gaz from Sonicstate already told you we could not go wrong on that one.)
