Not only does the RK-002 remap the MIDI channels, per sample(part) channel it is also able to translate velocity, pitch and modulation data.

These parameters are mappable and the settings can be stored in the RK-002's flash memory.

If you connnect the RK-002 cable with the /KVS firmware it changes incoming MIDI messages in a way so you can control the Volca Sample on a single MIDI channel and have the ability to play samples chromatically. This way it also enables you to use the Volca Sample on a lot more devices like the BeatStep Pro and other sequencers or Midi controller Keyboards.
